A major step forward for mobility inclusion

To mark Disabled People's Day, a number of innovative initiatives are being launched to promote inclusive mobility. These advances reflect a strong commitment to a more inclusive and supportive society.

Inclusive mobility: practical initiatives for all

The Communauté Urbaine d'Arras is expanding its fleet to include two Mobilo bikes, accessible electric three-wheelers designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities or travel difficulties. In addition, a number of initiatives have been put in place to enhance inclusion on a daily basis:

  • Activities and awareness-raising : in collaboration with the Handi'Chiens association, activities were organised to highlight the role of assistance dogs. In addition, a collaborative fresco on web accessibility, produced with Ipedis, raised awareness of good practice for a more inclusive digital world.

  • Accessible materials and inspiring testimonials : launch of a guide in FALC (Easy to Read and Understand) guide to the Ilevia network, entitled ‘Prendre le bus - guide voyage’ (Taking the bus - travel guide), makes it easier for everyone to use public transport. In addition, the ‘Paroles aux concernés’ series highlights personal experiences, such as that of Andrée, an elderly person calling for good manners on public transport.

  • Training and professional support : Keolis Agen has trained managers to better welcome and support disabled employees, thus reinforcing a culture of inclusion within the teams.

Collective action for sustainable mobility and solidarity

These actions illustrate a strong commitment to sustainable and inclusive mobility. With projects such as accessible electric scooters and the FALC guide, mobility is becoming a lever for independence and social integration. Together, we are building a more inclusive future that respects everyone's needs.
