Facilitating and promoting (career) mobility

Keolis invests in its employees’ professional development by offering them career opportunities through internal and geographical mobility, both in their own country and internationally . To promote equal opportunities, mobility follows rules set out in policies designed to develop employees’ progress in the Group, including within the SNCF group, and further enhance their employability.

"I joined Keolis as a bus driver in Tours. Keolis has supported my professional and geographical mobility. Eighteen years later, I am head of the Methods and Scheduling unit

Training and growing at Keolis

The Keolis Group offers continuous support to its employees throughout their careers, starting with a structured onboarding course specific to each subsidiary.

In a fast-evolving sector and to help employees succeed in their mobility plans, Keolis prepares them more specifically for change revolving around current CSR challenges, the energy transition, digital technology and new forms of mobility through a varied training package, enabling each employee to build their own career path.

En France, the Keolis Institute (IK), which earned Qualiopi certification in 2021, offers an extensive catalogue of more than 300 training courses suited to a range of occupations, with new modules added regularly. In 2023, training courses recorded a 93% satisfaction rate. The catalogue features training classes for all job disciplines (operation, maintenance, support functions, etc.).

Finally, Keolis deploys its Leadership Model in all its subsidiaries to enable all its employees to achieve their full potential in a collaborative working environment, develop managers’ skills to best respond to the expected role, and improve the performance and appeal of our company.

Young Talent policy

Keolis offers students a wide range of internships and work-study contracts in all its disciplines. For young graduates, we offer many opportunities in particular through our Graduate Programmes in France and secondments abroad for volunteering students. These initiatives are part of our commitment to inclusion, talent diversification and equal opportunities.

4 programmes of excellence dedicated to training young people in our core business lines :

Throughout the programme, the trainees benefit from personal supervision from their tutors, the HR department, the occupational departments and an expert mentor. This supervision includes operational missions, oversight during training, and preparation before taking up a position. Our graduate programmes, created in 2008, are on the one hand paths of excellence designed to train our future managers and experts, and on the other hand, diversified 12 to 24-month training courses combining practical teaching and operational immersion to gain a greater understanding of jobs in shared mobility.

In addition, our in-house training centres train our future bus and coach drivers, both men and women, offering them permanent job prospects once they have passed their qualification. Founded in 2021, the centre has already trained more than 500 apprentices in France.

We also work to increase employment opportunities for people in need of a job through partnerships with educational institutions and non-profits in the communities and countries in which we operate.

Commitment to employee wellbeing

When you join the Keolis Group, you are choosing to join an organisation resolutely committed to the development of its employees. Our approach is based on attention symmetry, emphasising attentive listening and a managerial model that fosters solid professional relationships, based on mutual trust that enables each and everyone to unleash their full potential.

Each year, a performance and/or career review is scheduled, providing a special opportunity to discuss each employee's objectives, career plan and individual development.

Just like safety, the physical and mental health of our employees and their work-life balance are of paramount importance to Keolis. We listen to everyone, take care to conduct constructive social dialogue and act to facilitate well-being in the workplace.

"What I like about Keolis, and what puts a smile on my face every morning, is the management’s commitment and sensitivity to CSR. Keolis has a corporate project called Keolis Way which underscores the focus on CSR through the pillar Our Planet. They have implemented a lot of different actions: creating local jobs in communities, engaging with banks around sustainable finance, Group incentives, for example on ISO 14001 certification, or how everyone can contribute to saving energy. Keolis is a company that contributes significantly to the sustainable development of communities and asks itself tough questions in relation to climate, environmental and diversity issues in the interests of a fair sustainability strategy. If you identify with these values, then come and join us!"
