Aix Marseille Provence Métropole has awarded EFFIA a 7-year contract to manage 5 city-center car parks, with a total of 2,636 spaces and cumulative sales of €56 million. This new contract strengthens EFFIA's presence in Marseille, where it already operates the DSP des plages, the parking lots at Marseille Saint-Charles station and on boulevard National. The DSP car parks are scheduled to open on June 3. Between now and then, teams from the Deployment division and the Grand Sud regional office will be on standby to ensure the smooth handover from the previous operator.
The watchword: total overhaul
EFFIA's ability to improve security for customers and operating staff, already proven at Marseille Saint-Charles, was a particularly decisive factor in the choice of delegate. The first objective will therefore be to improve the security of the entrusted car parks, which have historically suffered from theft and vandalism, and to make them attractive and pleasant to use.
To achieve this, a vast rehabilitation program is planned, with a particular focus on the following points. EFFIA is also committed to total transparency vis-à-vis the Metropole and to adopting an ambitious approach to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
Key points
Restoration of safety and cleanliness: hermetization, increased guard presence, presence of a security company at night, upgrading to fire standards
Renovation: replacement of equipment, paint and resins on the floor and LED relamping
Relaunch of the commercial dynamic: Internet referencing, reservations, local partnerships and new services
Development of new forms of mobility: installation of 116 IRVEs and bicycle plan
Improved accessibility, particularly for PRMs
