The Eighty-Six festival took place from 23 to 29 October in Melbourne, Australia, marking a remarkable week of live music, cultural celebrations, and community engagement.
Named after the iconic 86 tram route that runs through the heart of Melbourne’s northern music scene, the festival brought together over 200 artists who performed at 60 different venues. A special tram provided by Yarra Trams even served as a moving stage for various acts. This musical celebration honoured Melbourne’s rich music scene, as well as the region itself, renowned for its exceptional concentration of concert venues in Australia.
Keolis Downer Yarra Trams, in collaboration with the Victorian Government and Darebin City Council, played a key role in delivering this cultural event, highlighting Melbourne’s rich musical heritage, as well as Yarra Trams’ commitment to promoting diverse and vibrant cultural events within the city.
