Keolis has commenced the operation and maintenance of Stage 3 of the Gold Coast Light Rail in Australia, extending services from Broadbeach South to Burleigh Heads.
The opening marks a significant milestone for the Gold Coast, with 6.7 kilometres of new track, eight new stations and five new trams expanding the network to 27 kilometres.
The extension will enhance connectivity across the city, improving access to jobs, education, healthcare, shopping, entertainment and other key destinations. It will also provide improved transport options to support the Gold Coast's continued growth and development.
As the operations and maintenance partner, Keolis is delighted to have played a part in bringing this important expansion into service.
The opening of Stage 3 reflects years of planning, collaboration and commitment. We thank our partners at GoldlinQ, together with the Queensland Government, including the Department of Transport and Main Roads; the City of Gold Coast; and the Australian Government, for their shared commitment to delivering this important public transport investment.
Keolis has operated and maintained the Gold Coast Light Rail network for more than 12 years and looks forward to continuing to deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused services as the network enters this new chapter.
