The 45th edition of the Paris-Versailles race: A fine performance by Team Keolis
On Sunday 29 September, the famous Paris-Versailles race attracted an impressive number of participants. A total of 22,760 amateur and professional runners took part. The 16-kilometre course links two emblematic monuments: the Eiffel Tower, where the race starts, and the Château de Versailles, where it finishes. This annual sporting event attracts athletes from all over France. They come to surpass themselves and share their passion for running.
Among these thousands of participants, Team Keolis once again showed its presence in the field. With a team of around 100 employees, the company took part with great energy and enthusiasm. These runners, all Keolis employees, rallied round the event, each giving the best of themselves. Their cohesion and team spirit were evident throughout the race.
One of the highlights this year was the performance of Matthieu Gaulandeau, a bus driver at Keolis Blois. He had a great race, finishing third overall. With a time of 52 minutes, he showed great mastery of the course and excellent physical fitness.
But that's not all! Team Keolis also shone in the ‘performance’ category of the corporate challenge. To be ranked in this challenge, the company must have at least 10 finishers. Then the ranking is established by adding together the 5 best real race times. The team managed to come second in this ranking, once again demonstrating their determination and commitment. This result confirms the team's ability to surpass itself collectively.
The event was also marked by an emotional moment. The members of Team Keolis paid tribute to Bernard Tabary, who died recently. A former participant in the Paris-Versailles race, Bernard Tabary left a strong mark on the team. To pay tribute to him, the Keolis runners wore special shirts bearing the name ‘Bernard Tabary's Running Team’. This gesture further strengthened the cohesion between the team members.
