Clément Michel has 25 years’ experience in the passenger transport and public transport network management sector.
After spending a year and a half in China, he joined SNCF in 1999, where he held several operational positions, most notably in Paris and in Montpellier. In 2005, he became Executive Director of Gare de Lyon station in Paris. In 2009, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Yarra Trams network in Melbourne, Australia on the launch of the franchise run by Keolis Downer (in which Keolis has a 51% stake). He became CEO of Yarra Trams in 2013, before being appointed President and CEO of Keolis North America (USA and Canada) in early 2016, where he would spend five years.
In 2021 he was appointed Group Director Human Resources and Transformation. In addition to human resources, this new division was responsible for the corporate project, occupational health and safety, and the sustainability roadmap, a strategic pillar for the Group’s development.
In 2023, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer France, Regions, where is currently responsible for the Île-de-France and Regions networks (comprising regional coach transport and small urban networks), along with Keolis Santé and Kisio Services & Conseil.
Clément Michel is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, and holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Essex (UK).
